Nailed Identity

Nail art is more than just aesthetics—it's an extension of identity, a reflection of cultural heritage, and a medium for starting important conversations. Join us for the workshop "Nailed Identity" to create your own unique set of press-on nails while exploring the broader social and political dimensions of nail art.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Learn basic techniques to design your own personalized press-on nails.

  • Engage in discussions about the historical and cultural acceptance of nail art, its connections to class, identity, and resistance, and how nails can reveal social and political dynamics.

  • Reflect on the role of nail art as an extension of self-expression and identity.

This workshop will be conducted in German and English, depending on the participants' preferred language. It’s a 3.5-hour session designed to combine hands-on creativity with cultural exploration.

We will provide light refreshments and snacks to make the afternoon more enjoyable. The location is wheelchair accessible, ensuring inclusivity for all participants.
