Nailed Identity
Nail art is more than just aesthetics—it's an extension of identity, a reflection of cultural heritage, and a medium for starting important conversations. Join us for the workshop "Nailed Identity" to create your own unique set of press-on nails while exploring the broader social and political dimensions of nail art.
In this workshop, you will:
Learn basic techniques to design your own personalized press-on nails.
Engage in discussions about the historical and cultural acceptance of nail art, its connections to class, identity, and resistance, and how nails can reveal social and political dynamics.
Reflect on the role of nail art as an extension of self-expression and identity.
This workshop will be conducted in German and English, depending on the participants' preferred language. It’s a 3.5-hour session designed to combine hands-on creativity with cultural exploration.
We will provide light refreshments and snacks to make the afternoon more enjoyable. The location is wheelchair accessible, ensuring inclusivity for all participants.
